In short: where your information is kept

WhatWho keeps it
Login (email, and name/photo if you use Google)Clerk, our login provider. We never see your password. With Google sign-in, Google checks your password — not us.
Card and billing detailsPolar (seller of record) and its processor Stripe. We never see your full card number.
Your photos and finished videosYour own device. Videos are made in your browser; we don't store your photos or videos.
Plan and video countUs (stored with Upstash): your account ID, plan and how many videos you've made — nothing else.

How we keep your data safe

No online service can promise perfect security, but we design LeaseReel to hold as little of your information as possible.

What we collect

Your photos

Videos are created in your browser, and your full-size photos are not uploaded to our servers.

Auto mode only: small, reduced copies of your photos are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), so it can describe the rooms and write your captions. We don't store these copies, and Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models. Don't want this? Use Custom mode — then no photos leave your device.

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Emails

We send account and billing emails, and at most occasional product updates you can unsubscribe from in one click.

Keeping and deleting data

Delete your account anytime from your account page; we remove your email and usage history within 30 days. Payment records are kept by our payment partner as required by tax law.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing us. California residents and others with similar rights can use the same address; we respond within 30 days.

Service providers

Clerk (login), Google (optional sign-in), Polar and Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Upstash (usage records), Microsoft Azure (voice), and Anthropic (AI captions in Auto mode). Data may be processed in the United States and South Korea.
